If you want to book Economy Class ticket of Garuda Indonesia with extra legroom, you can now reserve extra legroom seat in advance when booking the ticket via our website.

• Extra legroom seats are located in the first row of Economy Class and along emergency exit rows
• Reservation of extra legroom seats along the emergency exit rows are only allowed for passengers aged 15 years old and older, and agreed to provisions of safety regulations issued by Garuda Indonesia.
• The reservation can be made for all sub class of Economy Class with additional charge as follows (except Y sub class, free of charge).

• GarudaMiles Platinum passengers, SkyTeam Elite Plus passengers, and passengers traveling with infant may select their seats without additional charge.
• Passengers with special need who need assistance* may select their seat without additional charge. This applies to one person who accompanies them too (must be in the same reservation or booking code).
• Applicable for all international flights of Garuda Indonesia, except code share flights and/or flights where GA is the Marketing ( GA9000- A9799 & GA99000-GA 9999)
• In case of irregularities, passengers may request for refund by providing their boarding pass and EMD receipt. Voluntary refund is not permitted.
• Passengers could ask for full voluntary refund with the following condition : Passengers upgrade ticket or service from Economy Class to Business/First Class or from Business Class to First Class.
• This feature is not yet available for booking via Garuda Indonesia Mobile App.

How to Select the Seat

• Complete the booking form with your preferred travel details. Click 'Seach Flight'.

• Select your preferred schedule

• In the next step, complete the passenger details and contact information, then check on the 'additional options'

• Click on 'seat'

• Select your preferred seat. Additional charge you need to pay will appear on the bottom of the page. Click 'confirm & close' if you want to proceed to the next stage, or click ‘clear all seats’ if you want to re-select your seat.

• The additional charge will also appear in services details.

• You can proceed to the payment stage.

Only passengers with minimum age of 15 years and agree with Garuda Indonesia Safety Regulation are allowed to grab these seats. Passengers with disabilities are not allowed to sit in the emergency exit row.

Please refer to the following GA Safety Regulation:

1. Civil Aviation Safety Regulation requires passengers sitting in the EMERGENCY EXIT SEAT ROW to be able to assist crew members’ duties during emergency evacuation, such as opening EMERGENCY EXIT DOOR/WINDOW, as directed by the crew members.
2. To fulfill this requirement, passengers should:
   • Have NO lacks of mobility, visual, hearing, reading or other body impaired reactions to follow and understand written or verbal instruction given by the crew members in English or Indonesian.
   • Must be 15 years of age or more and are not traveling for caring small children or other passengers that may prevent from performing such duties.
3. Passengers who do not wish to perform this functions and like to be re-seated, please report to the ground staff for changing to NON-EMERGENCY EXIT ROW SEATS.

 
Garuda Indonesia has the sole-discretion, at check-in or boarding, to determine whether the passengers meet the requirements to sit in the EMERGENCY EXIT ROW. If the passengers don’t meet the requirements, they will be assigned a different seat.
