GARUDA INDONESIA

There are two types of mileage that you may earn in the GarudaMiles program:

AWARD MILES

Award Miles represent the miles earned every time a GarudaMiles member flies on an eligible flight with Garuda Indonesia or with any of our airline partner, including mileage bonuses, or mileage earned from transactions with other GarudaMiles partners. Award Miles can be redeemed for an Award Ticket, Upgrade Award or other awards provided by Garuda Indonesia.

TIER MILES

Tier Miles represent the miles earned every time a GarudaMiles member flies on GarudaMiles and Skyteam flights, and are used to determine the level of your GarudaMiles membership.

TIER FREQUENCY

Tier Frequency is the flight frequency earned from each eligible Garuda Indonesia flight, which is used to determine the GarudaMiles membership tier. Click here for the complete Tier Frequency terms and conditions.

    Some of the new adjustments include:

    1. Effective September 8, 2025, frequency will be recalculated to determine GarudaMiles membership tier.
    2. There is no longer a distinction between the calculation of Tier Miles and Award Miles.
    3. Mileage for retroactive claims (retroclaims) will be awarded based on the ticket booking date and actual flight date.
    4. There are no changes to the Tier Bonus accrual for GarudaMiles Gold and Platinum members.

    The calculation for maintaining your GarudaMiles membership tier is as follows:

    Some of the new adjustments include:

    1. Effective September 8, 2025, the reactivation of Tier Frequency will apply, whereby both Tier Miles and Tier Frequency will be recognized as part of the GarudaMiles membership qualification criteria.
    2. The accumulation period for Tier Miles and Tier Frequency remains unchanged at 12 months, or in accordance with any other provisions stipulated by GarudaMiles. Specifically for Tier Frequency reactivation, recorded flight frequencies will be counted from September 8th 2025, until the end of the membership qualification period.
